Three hurt in Yuba City butane blast

Three people suffered severe โ€” and in one case life-threatening โ€” burns after a hash oil processing lab exploded in a Yuba City home Monday night, according to drug agents.

Police and firefighters responded to the explosion at 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Youngs Lane and called Yuba-Sutter NET-5 Narcotic and Gang Task Force when remnants of a butane hash oil lab were discovered, according to NET-5 Commander Martin Horan.

Troy Rowe, 27, suffered third-degree burns over 80 percent of his body. On Tuesday, Horan said he learned Rowe may not survive.
